Animals
Carl Goes Woo was founded in 2022 by Ali Kenny to reduce the suffering of unwanted dogs in Puerto Rico.
El Dogo Loco is a dog rescue and rehabilitation organization established by Gabriel Ramos in Naguabo in 2019. Together with Gina Fino, a New York partner, they transport, foster and place dogs for adoption on the mainland.
Community
Naguabo Somos Todos is a social movement focused on the development and well-being of the 11 neighborhoods in the town of Naguabo, in collaboration with their respective community leaders. Mariny Vazquez leads the organization.
Comité Desarrollo Social y Cultural Daguao supports the 2,200 residents of a small community in Naguabo through a strategic plan focused on security, education, health and economic development. Maribel Colón is the community leader.
Alguien Inc. supports the development, strengthening and self-sufficiency of women. Verónica Custodio presides the organization.
Centro Madre Teresa de Calcuta runs Comedor de Bien, a soup kitchen from within Parroquia Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Naguabo that feeds 400 plates of food to low-income elders on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The project coordinator is Mariny Vazquez.
Maizales con la fe renace is an organization supporting the residents of the Maizales community in Naguabo, and presided by Lydia Suárez.
Comité Pro Desarrollo de Cubuy supports the residents of Barrio Cubuy in Naguabo through their president Jimmy Piña.
Este Skate & Surf Foundation was established by Reinaldo Davila as a tribute to his son, with the goal of promoting skateboarding and surfing as a means to positively influence the health of young people.
Los Delfines Juniors is a basketball team focused on children and teenagers of the town of Salinas.
Education
GBC has been developing an adopt-a-public-school program for the towns of Ceiba and Naguabo, while bringing additional donors to support its efforts.
Employment
A Greengate Consulting, LLC. study from December 2022 states that the mixed-used residential project being developed by GBC has the potential to create 1,618 new jobs in the eastern region of Puerto Rico during its construction peak of 2025.
Environmental
Fundación Amigos del Yunque develops conservation, education and responsible recreation initiatives in Puerto Rico's El Yunque rainforest.
